The Launch of Parker B Associates
SSG have gone and done it again, we've helped another recruiter, another budding business owner set up their own recruitment business. This time it's Ben Parker who is the proud own of Parker B Associates. Ben has just completed what we call the launch phase of the business, where SSG provide the new business owner all the tools they will need to start building a successful business. Before Ben hit the phone and started contacting all his client and candidates, he spared me a few minutes to explain his story so far.
Tell me about your recruitment background.
I started my recruitment experience firstly as part of my University Placement Year. I worked as a Junior Consultant for Michael Bailey Associates focusing on the Technology Market. Upon graduation, I was offered a role back however joined McGregor Boyall Associates (again focusing on technology) and progressed within the business.
What was your motivation for starting your own recruitment business?
I've always wanted to run my own business and even studied this at University. I want to make my own decisions and guide/ direct the business as I see fit. I will also be able to give back to the community with my personal business incentive.
Which sectors do you cover and what roles do you specialise in?
Focus on the Technology sector with specialist areas including SAP, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics. I studied Information Technology also studied, so I have a good grasp on the subject and am able to provide solutions across the Technology field.
What can customers expect when they work with you?
Customers can expect exceptional talent that meets their needs and one of the best resourcing solutions. I put myself in the manager's shoes to ensure they do not receive irrelevant CVs. I am honest, committed and a reliable resource.
Are there any long-term plans for the company?
Futures plans are to grow the business organically and open International offices.
