SSG are delighted to announce the launch of Marshall Gee’s new recruitment business. We’ve worked with Marshall to help him with his recruitment start-up, and we’ll be supporting him on an ongoing basis. To celebrate to launch of his new business, we spent some time with Marshall and asked him to tell us a little bit more about his journey in the recruitment industry up to this point.
I started in recruitment when I was 17, specialising in the IT sector since then I had exposure to the supply chain and logistics technical markets, as well as sales.
What was your motivation for starting your own recruitment business?
I was increasingly frustrated by the limitations of my previous agencies. You’re always limited to when, where and how you work, but more importantly, being restricted on how much I can earn.
What sectors do you cover? What roles do you specialise in?
We specialise in Sales/\business support (ie sales, admin, pas), and Logistics and supply chain technologies.
What can customers expect when they work with you?
Transparency, complete honesty (if something isn’t realistic you will know!), 100% effort and most importantly you will be consulted with, rather than sold to. You won’t be treated like a customer paying us for a service, more like a business partner who holds just as much interest in filling your roles as the client does themselves.
What are your long-term plans for the company?
I plan to create a workforce, primarily completely home based (with options to work in the office). I want my business and all employees to manage their own desks, pipeline and to an extent even their working hours!
Did the launch process meet or exceed your expectations?
Yes, without a doubt. And SSG continues to exceed expectations after the launch process too.
