SSG are delighted to announce the launch of Jonathan Briggs’s new recruitment business. We’ve worked with Jonathan to help him with his recruitment start-up, and we’ll be supporting him on an ongoing basis. To celebrate to launch of his new business, we spent some time with Jonathan and asked him to tell us a little bit more about his journey in the recruitment industry up to this point.
Tell me about your recruitment background.
I have worked in the industrial recruitment business for 17 years. I have seen most of what the job has to offer at ground level, from starting as a rookie through to managing teams.
What was your motivation for starting your own recruitment business?
More recently, I had felt that I was working for other people, and for their benefit, rather than my own. This led me to make the pragmatic decision to start up on my own. I really wanted a better work/life balance…. and now I do.
What sectors do you cover? What roles do you specialise in?
We cover blue-collar industrial… warehouse and production, along with administrative roles. We specialise in temporary and temp to perm vacancies in these markets.
What can customers expect when they work with you?
A genuine, honest and simple service. Tell me what you want and I will do it!
What are your long-term plans for the company?
This is a lifestyle business for me, but who knows later down the line…..
